17 Dec The tenth Polish-Israeli youth meeting took place at the II Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Łomża on 6 March 2017.
The youth meetings take place as part of the Retaining Memory programme, coordinated by the Centre for Education Development from Warsaw and the Yad Vashem Institute from Jerusalem.
70 students from the Gvanim High School visited Łomża, where they met with 80 students from the Łomża school. The meeting was inaugurated by the school Headmistress, Mrs Jolanta Kossakowska. Mrs Nili Trabelsi, the Israeli coordinator, also spoke.
The students then took part in workshops that aimed at both conveying knowledge and forging mutual contacts. This was followed by dance lessons, during which the students learnt the polonez and Israeli dances, enjoying the activity immensely.
